Oct. 6th Luke 19 Journaling

Yesterday during the drama I felt a surge of emotions as the three stories unfolded.  I think I felt something akin to Jesus in this passage as he approached the city.  Some how I felt the pain that existed in the auditorium, knowing that many if not most had misused their bodies, been abused by someone and had the same conclusion as the third person in the drama, damaged goods.

How do you feel the power of the covering, not remembering, not accounting, blotting out, sweeping away, removing as far as the east and the west. (references explained during on Sunday, see meaningfulchurch.com)  How does that enter into a person’s life so that when they find themselves naked before their spouse that a sense of holiness prevades rather than dirtiness.

The gift or plague of memory isn’t easily effected by the power of redemption.  What are the mechanics of the deep cleansing that must take place before the metaphors become reality.

Father, I want the my Priest, Jesus, to do his cleansing work in my temple.  May I have the gift of living out of the truths that are offered me as a child of the Most High God.
