We STILL need more help to serve these families! We truly make a difference in the families and whole organization of Mission Adelante when we go down. Read this to understand how Mission Adelante connects these families to God’s Kingdom if you still aren’t sure why this week is so important to them, and us.

We have enough teens and adults for Wed night of our Mon June 20-Thurs June 23 Kids Camp that we put on for Mission Adelante, our ministry partners that reach out to Hispanic and Bhutanese immigrant families.
This is such a cool week, your kids are going to love it, create some shared memories with them by signing up!
2. Buya Pizza Party- This Friday (June 10th) 6:30-9pm in the Underground. Please RSVP so that I know how much Pizza to get.

Weekly Update

May 31, 2011

Hey Everyone, here’s what’s up:

1. Make a HUGE impact this summer at the Mission Adelnate Kids Camp – LOTS of help needed! Seriously, this is one of THE coolest things we get to do all year. We serve, we connect cross culturally in KCK, we connect with our own student community. Give one night of your summer, or all 4 to make a childrens camp possible to the Hispanic and Bhutanese families we reach out to during the week of June 20-23. Cost is free, but your energy is needed! Say “YES” today!
Like Eric Haynes and I talked about this past Sunday on the “Parenting Adolescents” topic, families need to “create space” to join God together and to create shared memories. Make some shared memories with your teen by signing up for this really cool week of reaching out to kids in KCK. Only 25% of what we need have signed up and we only have 3 weeks to go!

2. Buya Pizza Party Friday June 10th – In the Underground 6:30-9pm – Please RSVP so I can get enough pizza, thanks!

Hey Everyone, here’s what’s up:

June 20-23, $50/student (covers all food and housing).Need 3-4 more students to sign up to make it happen! Looking for a couple leaders as well! Deadline next Sunday!
2. Mission Adelante Kids Camp – June 20-23 – 5-9pm – This is one of the coolest weeks of service and outreach we do all year within our student ministries. It’s a week we get to pour out energy and connect families in KCK with our exteremely successful ministry partner MIssion Adelante. Help out 1 night, or all 4. Parents, you are HUGE to the success of this night, since we very much need adults to be the on the field supervisors and helpers for this event that serves between 70-100 children each summer.
3. New Family Meeting Next Sunday May 22nd, in the Attic, 10am and 11am – NO BUYA or CRASH - If you know of any families that will be new to the student ministries, please send them to this meeting, especially the parents of 5th graders becoming 6th graders.
4. Today was our 8th graders last day in Buya, so on May 29th and from there on out, those 8th graders are now 9th graders, and are strongly encouraged to attend services in The Attic on Sundays with the rest of the high school students, and to join a Crash Small Group, Wednesdays 6:30-8:30pm in The Attic.
