Hey Everyone, here’s what’s up:

1.  Last week to sign up for the Mission Adelante Kids Camp, a cross-cultural serving experience that will create shared memories for you and your teen or preteen! June 20-23, from 5pm-9pm each evening, our 6th-12th graders get the opportunity to go and serve Hispanic and Bhutanese immigrant families that live only 20 minutes away from Shoal Creek. We bring our energy and creativity to excite the neighborhood children surrounding Mission Adelante and get those children excited about the year-round programming, mentoring, and tutoring that Mission Adelante does during the school year.

I still need help on Monday and Tuesday evening. We need about 4-5 more students each night and 2-3 more adults. Please let me know this week if you or your student can help, thanks!

2. If you know you’re attending the Mission Adelante Kids Camp, here are some details:

  • Be in the back parking lot of Shoal Creek each evening you serve by 5pm. We will leave asap, travel together. Parents, if you are sending your student but not attending, please tell me so that I have enough space in cars for each student needing a ride.
  • No dinner will be served. Eat before hand or bring a snack.
  • Monday Only- I will take 12 student with me in the afternoon who want to pass out flyers to the neighborhood children inviting them to our week of camp. Please let me know if you or your student would like to go down with me to meet with the Mission Adelante staff to pass out those flyers.
  • Severe Weather could be possible, so please pay attention to last minute emails or texts, since rain outs are possible.

Thanks! Email me for all things/questions at Justin.Talley@shoalcreek.org.

1. Kids Camp! Kids Camp! Kids Camp! Jump in with your teen and create some really fun, shared experiences!

We STILL need more help to serve these families! We truly make a difference in the families and whole organization of Mission Adelante when we go down. Read this to understand how Mission Adelante connects these families to God’s Kingdom if you still aren’t sure why this week is so important to them, and us.

We have enough teens and adults for Wed night of our Mon June 20-Thurs June 23 Kids Camp that we put on for Mission Adelante, our ministry partners that reach out to Hispanic and Bhutanese immigrant families.
This is such a cool week, your kids are going to love it, create some shared memories with them by signing up!
2. Buya Pizza Party- This Friday (June 10th) 6:30-9pm in the Underground. Please RSVP so that I know how much Pizza to get.
Thanks!
